How Do I…
Get a library card
Ask for a Library Card Registration Form at the front desk of the library and bring in your current photo ID. Click here to view the list of other acceptable documents.
If you aren’t able to verify your address, a temporary library card can be issued that allows only two items checked out at a time.
Children age 5+ are also eligible for library cards. Out-of-state residents can pay an annual fee for a card.
Register for a card online
First-time MORE Cardholders can use our online registration form and verify their residency in-person at a later date. Once you fill out the form, your new card will be mailed to you.
Request Materials/Place a Hold
Somerset is part of the IFLS Library system, and cardholders can request items from other libraries within the system. These are sent in delivery. If a copy is available, it usually arrives within 7-10 days. In order to place a hold, you can:
- Ask a librarian at the front desk to place a hold
- Call us during our open hours to request a hold at 715-247-5228
- Log in to your MORE Account. Locate the item you want to place a hold on in the MORE Catalog, and click on the green “Place Hold” button
Renew Checked Out Items
You can renew an item up to two times. Note that if another patron has a hold on the item, you will not be able to renew it. In order to renew an item, you can:
- Log into your MORE Account. Click on the red dropdown menu in the upper righthand corner and select “My Library Dashboard”. Go to “Checkouts” on the left menu. Select the “Renew” box in front of the title you wish to renew. Please refer to the Status to see if the renew was successful.
- Call us during our open hours to request a renewal at 715-247-5228
- Use the self-check terminals at the library
Pay Library Fees
Fees must be under $10 for you to use your library card. Fees can be paid at Somerset Library by cash or check, or online at more.lib.wi.us.
Log in to my MORE Account
Log into your MORE Account using your library barcode/username and your 4-digit pin. If you have not set a pin, MORE will prompt you to create one.
