State Parks Pass
Somerset Public Library Launches New State Park Pass Program for Card Holders
Somerset Public Library is excited to announce the launch of a new program in collaboration with the St. Croix Bike and Pedestrian Coalition and the Department of Natural Resources (DNR). Starting Monday, March 11, Somerset Public Library card holders will have the opportunity to check out a state park pass from the library.
This innovative program aims to expand access to the Wisconsin state park system by offering free admission for one vehicle at any state park, forest, or recreation area where admission is required. By partnering with the St. Croix Bike and Pedestrian Coalition and the DNR, Somerset Public Library seeks to introduce new visitors to the natural beauty of Wisconsin’s parks while promoting community engagement.
“We are thrilled to provide our card holders with the opportunity to explore Wisconsin’s stunning state parks,” said Kristina Kelley-Johnson, Director of Somerset Public Library. “This program not only promotes outdoor recreation but also encourages community members to visit and utilize our wonderful library resources.”
Card holders can take advantage of this program by visiting the Somerset Public Library and checking out a state park pass with their library card. Passes will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
